Indtil sportshallerne blev taget i brug, var Baltic et af egnens foretrukne musiksteder til større arrangementer. Det var fortrinsvis musikarrangører, der lejede sig ind, og ikke hotellet selv, der arrangerede. I sommeren 1964 blev facade og sale renoveret (foto). Dir. Ursbæk-Rasmussen. Efter noget hærværk indstillede man popballerne i perioder i 1965-67.
